We realised that the map itself felt somewhat less atmospheric than originally planned. After taking a look at how close the land is to the coast, we decided that adding some volumetric fog that replicates coastal fog would have a much more natural and visually attractive effect on the environment.
We also hope this insinuates a feeling of coldness when first exploring the map before the seasons and weather change.
